Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us

This policy explains what information Aurum Dental Clinic collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your personal information with care and respect.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

Aurum Dental Clinic (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every patient and website visitor. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, and is intended to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. By using our website or our services, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We only collect information that helps us provide safe, effective dental care and a working website. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

This website has no contact or enquiry form. The only information the site itself collects is what you enter into the appointment booking flow.

  • Contact details you enter when booking — your name, phone number and email address
  • The treatment, doctor, date and time you select, plus any note you add
  • Health information you share with us in the clinic, relevant to your dental treatment
  • Basic technical data your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, used to rate-limit the booking endpoint and protect it from abuse

How we use your information

Your information is used to deliver the care and service you expect from us. This includes providing dental treatment, creating and managing your appointment, and sending your confirmation, reschedule and cancellation emails, as well as meeting our legal and professional obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we only use it for the purposes for which it was collected or closely related purposes you would reasonably expect.

Sharing and disclosure

We treat your information as confidential and disclose it only where necessary — for example, to specialists involved in your care, or to service providers who help us operate the clinic under strict confidentiality.

When you book online, your appointment details are stored as an event in the clinic’s Google Calendar and your confirmation emails are delivered through our email provider. Those providers process the information on our behalf and only for that purpose.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. We take reasonable steps to ensure any third party who handles your information protects it to the same standard we do.

How we protect your information

We use a combination of physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access to patient records is restricted to authorised team members who need it to carry out their role.

The link that lets you manage your own appointment online is encrypted, expires after your appointment, and contains no readable identifier — it cannot be guessed, and tampering with it simply makes it stop working.

While no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, we continually review our practices to keep your information safe.

Cookies and website analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. The booking flow briefly stores your confirmation in your browser’s session storage so the confirmation page can display it; that value is cleared as soon as it has been shown and never leaves your device.

Pages that embed a Google Map load content from Google, which may set its own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights and choices

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date, and — subject to our clinical record-keeping obligations — to ask us to erase it. You may also withdraw consent to non-essential communications at any time.

You can view, reschedule or cancel your own appointment at any time using the secure link in your confirmation email. For anything else, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

Children's privacy

We care for patients of all ages, including children. Where we collect a child’s information we do so with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, and handle it with the same care and confidentiality as all patient information. Appointments for a child should be booked by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
